The Leader & District Arts Council has been enriching our community through the arts for more than four decades.
Founded on January 21, 1982, as a Saskatchewan society, the Arts Council was established with a vision of bringing quality arts and cultural experiences to Leader and the surrounding area. Since then, generations of volunteers, community members, artists, and supporters have worked together to ensure that the arts remain an important part of community life.
As our organization continued to grow, the Leader & District Arts Council was incorporated as a registered non-profit charity in 2017, strengthening our ability to serve the community, build partnerships, and expand opportunities for arts and cultural programming.
Today, we continue our mission by presenting live performances, supporting educational opportunities, fostering community partnerships, and creating experiences that inspire, entertain, and connect people of all ages. We believe that access to arts and culture helps build stronger, more vibrant communities, and we are proud to bring those experiences to Leader and the surrounding region.
Everything we accomplish is made possible through the dedication of our volunteers, the generosity of our donors and sponsors, the support of grant funding, and the enthusiasm of our members and audiences.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to building on the legacy established in 1982—bringing people together, celebrating creativity, and ensuring that arts and culture continue to thrive in our community for generations to come.
